The call for bids for the new Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne station is now online

TELT has published the call for bids for the construction and maintenance of the new Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne international railway station, the connecting point on the French side of the Lyon-Turin cross-border section with the existing historic line.

The call for bids, published in the Official Journal of the European Union , has an estimated net value of €56 million. It concerns TELT’s CO9 operational construction site (above ground works), and it has the form of a global works contract under the terms of the French Public Procurement Code. The contract consists of a firm tranche (which includes an initial phase of works lasting two years for the construction of the station and five years of maintenance from the date of commissioning), followed by a second phase of works lasting one year and nine months, in parallel with the station maintenance and its related systems. The optional tranche provides for an additional three years of maintenance.

The deadline for receiving the applications is 15 January 2026 at 2 p.m.

The works cover a total surface area of around 3,700 square meters and have been designed to fit in with the local urban area, with a solid architecture and modular spaces to meet the climatic challenges of the coming years, with integrated landscaping and natural thermal comfort.  The new station, which will replace SNCF Réseau‘s temporary multimodal hub inaugurated in summer 2022, will be fully operational at the opening of the Mont-Cenis base tunnel. It will provide all users with a modern, functional infrastructure that will be perfectly integrated into the European rail network, contributing to the region’s economic and tourist dynamism.
