Chiomonte Visitor Centre

The Chiomonte Visitor Centre is built using a combination of containers. The architectural concept reinterprets a typical construction-site object—the container—by transforming it into a space that guides visitors into the project through installations that explore the various themes related to the Lyon–Turin development: the base tunnel and the Chiomonte site, its historical background, specific infrastructure features, sustainability, the mountain environment and geological characteristics, construction sites and excavation.
